Dearest Carol, Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful essay! I really feel that this work could lend itself to a children's book - something I know you have been pursuing for a while. It is so sensitively written - children would delight in the recognition of their own joy .I can see many of the images illustrated by you - sharing visually with other children your own childhood visual memories... the trick to such a book of poetic word and image is to not totally describe in word what is in picture ...a deeper memory still and I can see it with you because i have seen your imagery in paint so I "saw" what . I believe , was your "seeing" and not so much my own... those topiarys, those oranges and was it sardines in those red and white cans ?(the secret of the name is out at last!-perhaps) I want an illustration of the fireplace clock!! Much Love, Anna
