In Colin's opinion, ringing a bell for charity is a horrible way to spend the holiday. Three hours on the job, his fingers are numb, his ears are ringing and if he has to listen to other people wish him happy holidays, he's going to be pissed off.
It is this setting that set him up to rescue the naked and muddy Gaz (Gazardiel) from the side of the road. What made this situation strange though were the white loose feathers when Colin found Gaz and the bloodied stubs on his back.
After Gaz settles in Colin's place, during the same night, hey became lovers and for the rest of the story, there are plenty of racy scenes. It is nice for anyone who wants to read porn with a plot-driven story, but for this story, at times the scenes of sex and foreplay became overwhelming or not as clear. So that brings a bad angle to the validity of this Christmas story. During the duration of the story and the several times afterward of rereading this story, I was quite confused by who was doing who. There were no clear dominant or submissive in this story, both men can give and take it.
This story was also quite strange, at times I imagine that Colin wondered if Gaz was human or not. From the publisher's description it identified Gaz as being a phone sex operator. However the words, language and tone seems to want identify Gaz as a fallen angel. Many instances in the story, there where mention of Christian references and symbols. I have read books where there was a Christian literature
Is Gaz a fallen angel or an out of luck worker?
The only conclusion that I came up with is Gaz is a fallen angel with a cover up as a phone sex operator. So I repeat, what a strange religious reminder with an unclear plot.
